In early October 2006 I packed everything up and moved my life to Northern
Thailand. Originally I planned on taking a couple of months to just
explore the country. A few weeks before leaving, that plan changed
radically. I have spent
the lump sum of my 33 years not too far from East Jackson. I figured
maybe it was about time to see what the rest of the world had to offer.
With the ability to do so many things remotely with a computer, I thought
it would be an interesting experiment to see if I could run my business
from half way across the world. I would have to make some sacrifices
to make it work. The time difference is 13 hours. This meant a lot
of staying up all night to work with clients while I would use my days
to enjoy the culture in thailand. Turns out the sacrifice would be
sleep. Who needs it anyways!
This page is an attempt to catalog what it's like to live abroad and work
at home. I'm going to try and keep this page somewhat current with
my cultural adventures as well the state of my business and how to
get ahold of me while living abroad.
